If I Had...A Poem by christopher foxIf only I had...If I had a voice would I choose to Speak? diligently write that my mouth might with words create? just teasing rhythms that I might not answer what I must. confusing myself, as I understand in God we Trust. If I had ears could I ever hear? listening for waves but never near just with two as I focus for the one altogether three the way is just not fun. If I had hands might I ever feel? in darkness searching for what I've been told is real. the ridges and edges of lines drawn too far. feeling for my life, But this feeling, tells me that I had never start. If I had a tongue Should I ever taste? wasted opportunities tracing emotions misplaced. not finding the hint hidden in the image focusing instead on limits and schisms. If I had eyes could I ever see? what lays before me surrounded by a battlefield bloodied indeed. It's always there just something I feel. limiting in fun, I pray for what might be real.
