I Remember What I wish I Forgot

I Remember What I wish I Forgot

A Poem by CriticalxxAngel
"

This is a poem with rhyme scheme I came up with for my lang arts class anthology

"

I remember the days we spent together.

The time when everything was easy

Our feelings light as feathers

Our own thoughts making us dizzy.

I remember the days we laughed.

The days we cried.

We never felt trapped;

We never had to hide.

I remember the days we ran,

The times when nothing mattered.

I can’t recall when the changes began

Or the moment when things shattered.

I remember how we said anything that came to mind.

The days we shouted.

The days we left behind.

The moment we parted.

I remember when everything happened,

The moment we forgot.

The sky had blackened

And our days together stopped.

I remember what I want to forget.

The memories I want to leave behind.

I remember the things I regret.

The memories stuck in my mind.

I love your ability to execute this rhyme scheme flawlessly whiles writing a poem that made complete sense. It was a definitely a deep read and got me thinking about such days and memories.. you kinda described the cycle of an entire friendship in such an impressive style.. well written.
