Past the Point

Past the Point

A Poem by CriticalxxAngel
"

Just something I was feeling

"
Sometimes the pain is too much
and I get tired of putting up a fight
When your heart aches
For something you'll never have
It might be best not to try
I've never been truly brave
I would rather hide
I have to act again
Like nothing bothers me anymore
But in all honestly
I'm way past the breaking point

It always is the worst feeling to want something that you know you can never have, along with someone in particular. I've been through this type of situation and I understand that it's nothing fun and cheery. But we must cope the best we can, must try to find a new form of happiness and not let it bother us too much...it could easily destroy us if we think too much on 'what could've been' all the time. We must live in the now, not in the past, not in the future.

Very emotional piece, I like your writing. Maybe add a little bit more personal detail in there, to distinguish this piece from other peoples... for example, images of your relationship with this person, like if you hear a certain song when you think of them, or if they wear a certain article of clothing or have a particular mannerism or something that you and this person share together, those kind of details.

okay thank you I will edit this soon :)
I have depression, and so I know it feels beyond the "breaking point." Writing soothes me, and I can tell it soothes you, too. I hope everything had worked out. Thank you for sharing.
