The Blue DinosaurA Poem by Cristina Moldoveanua poem for childrenOnce upon a happy time, At the end of a long street, Lived a little brown eyed girl Smiling always very sweet.
Her small room was painted pink, Pillows pink, pink her bed sheet. All her dolls, her pretty dress Everything was clean and neat.
Outside it was cold and sleet, Christmas time was almost there, She stood watching from the window Holding tight her teddy bear.
Thinking about Santa Claus She made then a special prayer: „Please, bring something else this time. No more dolls with plastic hair.”
„I just want a dinosaur Wearing a blue silk costume With white skin and golden wings Flying all around my room.
I am bored of too much pink It’s enough when roses bloom. When the sky is blue and clear I want blue but never gloom.”
Maybe God heard that girl’s wish, Changing what was there below, He made snow instead of sleet, With blue sky and golden glow. © 2012 Cristina MoldoveanuReviews
