Autumn Stroll

Autumn Stroll

A Poem by Cristina Moldoveanu
"

a poem about autumn from the perspective of a nature lover

"

autumn unchained every tree voice

it is leaves turn to be different

a unique resounding death

at one end of the rainbow

white statues seem to awake

their smile unravels and trembles

shadows almost touch each other

silence is pregnant with unspoken words

people’s footsteps are jarring out of tune

wheat seeds are spread for city pigeons

a child kneels on the pavement

drawing a smiling charcoal sun

each day the same old lady passes by

unwillingly touching her heart

Author's Note

Cristina Moldoveanu
the old lady could be a simple woman walking every day in the park or a symbol for autumnal changes and emotions, statues seem alive because leaves are falling leaving them in the light and silence, they are also a reminder of the past, the sun loses its strength, leaves have many colors but they all die ...this poem is a kind of pastel. (colors - white - black)
