Once I kept silent

Fearing to prophesy another ending

For my besieged fortress

Then others began to shout

Hysterically asking for my answer.

 

I was so afraid of a high-pitched cry

Giving rise to an avalanche

Keeping in mind I don’t know why

In the beginning was the Word.

The poem is an interesting concept though I would have have loved to read some more of the poem. So the main issue is this poem is too short, in my opinion, for a reader to fully be immersed in the poem. That said, the poem is beautiful
