ApprenticeA Poem by Cristina Moldoveanua poem about my childhoodFollowing the same dusty road Today my childhood runs outdoors, When footsteps reached the other shores My dreams and thoughts on blue sky strode.
Falling asleep in clover fields I ripe gold apples under rain, My puzzled eyes upon clouds lane Found newborn stars protecting shields.
Sweet forest hum enters my ears, Springs turn again their spinning wheel, Old pitchers with their stories fill. I drench my fingers in dew tears.
Once I had learned here my first word Under the walnut in a swing And between songs memories bring Same river’s voice can still be heard.
