Desire

Desire

A Poem by Cristiana Joy

Anticipation sweet as lovers near

Touch so light, breath so sheer

A hairbreadth away, a pregnant pause

Knuckles brush a delicate jaw

Smoothest skin, full lips of rose

Lover's kiss as passion grows

Quickened breath of love disclosed

Curl of tongue, arch of toes

Sing a song of love's refrain

Left alone in amorous domain

You're obviously a very deeply emotional and passionate chickipoo, Cristi. How does hubby stack up? (Just wondering...lol.)

Really good poem, well done. The lines really work and it flows nicely. :))
