Moonlight Kiss

Moonlight Kiss

A Poem by Cristiana Joy

Kisses in the moonlight,
A hand within my hair,
Clasps me closer than night,
So I haven't a care.
A gasp, a soundless sigh,
A wordless murmur of desire.
A flutter of lashes fly,
As he sets me on flameless fire.

Lucky guy. I'd like to think some of my girlfriends felt that way eons ago when I was a teenager, parked beside the lake on moonlit nights.

Thanks, Rick! :)

"As he sets me on flameless fire." That is, to my experience, the best wording (albeit simple and straightforward) anyone has used to express that emotional feeling, out of the thousands of ways it has been written. Nicely done.

sometimes, when I read a poem,it moves me to respond in kind...
care to collaberate on a poem?

under the moonlight my knees were weak,
I parted her hair to kiss her cheek,
she held me so close and so tight,
her lips were inviting under this moonlight,
I heard her moan and felt her sighs,
moonlight reflecting her golden eyes,
another kiss was our dsire,
burning all our worries in a flameless fire...
