Smashed

Smashed

A Poem by Cristiana Joy

Smash the glass, tear the drapes.

Betrayed at once in such great haste.

Go back to her, you are untrue.

Sidle back to her, until you’re through.

You take my game and give to her.

You entangle her within your fur.

My heart is rent without repair,

So leave me now without a care.

Do not come back and say to me

Sweet words of love too easily.

For you have hurt beyond the pale,

And you, my dear, made our love fail.
