Ocean of InkA Poem by OctoberDawnA love poem
I would swim the ocean to gaze into the sky
Of stars that shine forever in the twinkling of her eye. I would drown indeed but this death I do not fear, For every hour that I live is folly without her near. And in the sea so restless I lay within the midst, The paper seagulls call me, the rocky cliffs demand a kiss... I would dive the depths of the Mariana Ocean Trench To drink deeply of her love and my brackish palate quench. I would lay me down in the depths there below and let the opaque ocean waters seize me, if she wished it so. And in the sea so restless, I lay within the midst. The paper seagulls call me, the rocky cliffs demand a kiss... I would cast me over the very precipices' edge Of the highest ocean cliff; the rockiest of ledge. I would pierce my heart on the apical rocks below, And in my dying moments my love for her she'd know. And in the sea so restless, I lay within the midst. The paper seagulls call me, the rocky cliffs demand a kiss... © 2012 OctoberDawnAuthor's Note
