The Mirror and the Man

The Mirror and the Man

A Poem by OctoberDawn
"

Sometimes I don't like the man in the mirror, but who is to blame for what we become? Not the creator, not the external influences on the man, but the man himself holds the key to what he will achieve

"

Scream, the echoes are are your own.

Laugh, the facade we all have shown.

Live, the choices make your mask,

Change, the future is not the past.

Strive, everyday to make it through,

Forgive, all the ones who wronged you.

Keep, the ones you love and need,

Pain, the right we have to bleed.

Believe, that goodness still exists,

Hold, your heart out on your wrists.

A little different format, simplistic maybe.

I have never liked what I saw in my mirrors either. And at times, I think that I never will. What is their for me to like, I ask myself.

I like that this is simplistic. It's beautiful.
