Paper World and Matches

Paper World and Matches

A Poem by OctoberDawn
"

Dealing with a heart-wrenching time in my life

"

Can you recall the days when black and white were true,

before the coming of the color and open skies of gray and blue.

Can you see past my face, my imperfections and facades,

Can you trust the man beneath this crude canvas of the God's

Were we always this confused or are we just waiting for the sun,

To show the secrets of the heart; which night had left undone.

So keep these words beside you, if they help to ease the pain,

I'm not altogether heartless but i'm not altogether sane.

Another great ending line. You have a gift with those. I enjoy how you can convey so much in a shorter poem. The contrast in the first two lines with the images they create is fantastic. Again, very nice writing!
