Pumpkin SkylineA Poem by OctoberDawnWatching the sky at my favorite time of year, I was overcome with the beauty and ambiance of the season.A dream above the skyline, a fire in the sky; new color is reborn as others fade and die.
A joke about forever echoes in the dark, as embers fade from vision; ignited by a spark.
The dying sun collapses and whispers to the moon, 'Our love will last forever, we'll be together soon'.
The beauty of a moment is that there's no promise of another, like a roses pale complexion as the petals start to whither. © 2012 OctoberDawn |
