Ivory Sands In the MoonlightA Poem by OctoberDawnA love poem for fellow romantics... The right person is out there.A contrast breaks the dawn far before the sun awakes, a soundless flight ensues; a purposed heart determines pace. Not of the vectors body but of his masters cage, beyond the restless sea to ivory sands he strays.
Step Lightly as the rain gently stirs the sea, tarry near true love; at night return to me.
A million miles between me and her teary eyes, an expanse that's overcome far as the crow flies. A single star ignites and guides a wearied wing, to ivory sands he steals away from heartaches sting.
Step lightly as the snow lays aloft the sea, lose yourself in love; in Spring return to me.
A promise fills the gap but fades with morning light, as dew upon the tulip does not survive the night. So to the dust I go with one final gift to leave, a faithful friend takes flight, to ivory sands he weaves
Step lightly as my heart sails across the sea, give yourself to love; at death return to me. © 2012 OctoberDawnAuthor's Note
