Dusk To DustA Poem by OctoberDawnThe night can only last so long, if we can't look to the future than they've truly taken everything.Slithering darkness ever present, chokes the beauty effervescent. Lingering scent of familiar flesh, serves to warn the hope that nests. Far between a sleepless night and morning shadows, lies the light. Never found by those who stir, the night calls the wandering to rest. The song of night, the song of sorrow, never heard on the morrow. Stars and moon cascade to earth, alight and land on thoughts behind. In dying there is certainty attained while in living on failures we are chained. In whispers of the sunrise, dusk always carries on to beauty unconfined. © 2012 OctoberDawnAuthor's Note
