Landlocked

Landlocked

A Poem by OctoberDawn
"

A longing for that which mine eyes cannot see, nor skin feel, nor ears hear.

"

Where are the oceans,

Where are the seas?

Where are the gulls that lay aloft the breeze?

Where are the shores that imbibe the skies tears,

For the footprints of lovers lost over the years?

Where are the beaches,

Where are the sands?

Where is the moon and the joy he demands?

Where are the waters that shimmer and glow,

From the moonbeams night gambols in his beautiful show?

Where is the night sky

Over the waves?

That crash and break above fathomless graves?

All of these yearnings you might not understand

If you've never looked out your window and seen only land
