End of the Line

End of the Line

A Poem by OctoberDawn

Still lays the stop, silence maintains...

A swift moving catalyst, alive in the dark
pursued by the promise, betrayed by the clock.
A memory fading as time would demand,
A books concluded chapter, closed in my hand.

An ethereal light seen far in the distance
A gap whose gamut is covered quickly with ease.
Closing of doors, the metaphors irony ends,
Wait for the stop and parting of friends.

Still lays the stop, but still something remains...
