Alone

This is more of me just writing about whats on my mind.

Why do I always feel alone. I feel like there is no one around even when I’m not alone. I can be with friends, but I always think they hang out with me for they pity me. I have never been loved, but have always loved even when it was not welcome. I am always hostile angry hiding it under this false smile. Always thinking I have lost my self for miles. I just want a true smile a laugh that I have not forced. I want a kiss that is full of love for me not for pity towards me. I just want to know that I am not lost anymore and I have found my place in the world.

Caleb, this is an awesome piece! It's awesome because it shows how you truly feel -- unlike some poets you do not put up a front in your poetry. By front I mean -- you don't just ramble on about things that don't matter -- but you want to truly express the way you feel through what you write. I understand what you're feeling cause I've been there; in fact, I'm there right now. We all go through things in life -- and it seems to me (I may be wrong) that you're in a valley... However, my friend, remember that if you go through a valley, eventually you'll reach the mountain top... That is, indeed, an encouraging thought. (Okay, I might have ripped that last sentence off from Gandalf -- haha!) Stay strong!
