A Little HelpA Poem by Al R. ArceAlways be good to everyone!
A little help is so easy to give.
All it takes is willingness To not see who is in need But to look at the need itself. A little help is so easy to deny, All you need to do is to look away That it's worthless to try It's their fault they went astray. We look onto ourselves As if our world is all within us We fail to see that goodness If given regularly can be contagious. A little help can be inconvenient May cause trouble, or bring dangers Yet if we accept to be lenient We may change the life of strangers. A little help can mean so much For those who don't expect it As it shows that there is hope When there is someone to commit. We look ourselves in mirrors Not knowing that our reflections Show the health of our souls For beauty comes from our elections. A little help so many need Not because of choice, but of fate, Decree, their breed or just their creed. If we wish we can set things straight. A little help can mean much more It liberates us from our binds It allows us to explore The greatness of our kind. We look onto the future Uncertain of what it holds When a little help can nurture Brighter days for our world. © 2013 Al R. ArceAuthor's Note
