ResurgenceA Poem by Al R. ArceSomething about the things that separate us, instead of uniting us
God is too big for one religion
Earth is too small for humanity We diverge in our ambitions Disregarding our condition That because of our plurality We must embrace mutual admission. As our ancestors once did We spend our lives garnering When surviving is no need We're just driven by the greed We have failed in conquering But in our progress we have hid. We judge without the know In absence of compassion As if we'd be free from any sanction Unattached to any faction Forgetful of our flaw Our original damnation. All credence has one teaching To love and help each other In order to recover The innocence we plundered In our original sin To restore our collective luster God has no race, No sex nor semblance A universal transcendence Of which we all are descendants Thus let's become the seed For all embracing accedence. Lets coexist in acceptance Welcome our divergence Feed our resurgence That our feelings are consistent To make our bonds incessant To the glory of our providence. © 2013 Al R. ArceAuthor's Note
