Amber Waves of Grain

Amber Waves of Grain

A Poem by Dianna Reneé
"

Not really a poem (closest type though); written for our Spring Concert. After reading this, my band director told me that I have a way with a pen.

"

From the golden gate bridge to the Appalachian Mountains, there are so many wonderful things to see in this great nation of ours.  Sparkling glaciers, the roaring undertow, a beautiful sunrise and sunset, and the running river are just a few.  Even the rolling plains of the country side are an amazing sight to see.  The important thing is that despite the troubles that we may have, there will always be something out there to put a smile on your face.  It may be tough at times but it is still important to be proud to be an American.  Freedom isn’t free but at least we do have it and we have people willing to fight for it.  Always remember Lady Liberty standing strong with her bible and torch in hand.  She stands strong for this country just as the soaring eagle does.
