Last Breath

Last Breath

A Poem by CrimsonHints

A voice so raw is slipping,
From my mouth, is dripping.
Tearing apart my tongue;
Escaping from my lungs.

A barrage of shattered glass,
Pulled from this shapeless mask.
Letters sharpened; venom dipped;
Lifted from this ancient crypt.

Eyes blessed by winter's scorn;
A gleaming heart is torn.
Silently fractured blackhole,
My grip smothered in coal.

Like gails from a hurricane,
Tearing the skull from my brain.
Prayer for petals; a way of death.
All for you, my last breath.
