Into Darkness

Into Darkness

A Poem by CrimsonHints

Do not let your emotions control you.
You are above the faults in men.
Do not let dark waters scare you;
Breathe out, then dive in.

Daggers and swords cannot cut you.
Bullets will bounce off like stone.
The night will not begin without you,
And your mind will set the tone.

Words with sharp edges will not harm you.
You are impervious to jaded tongues.
Deep, black waters will not crush you,
And no air will leave your lungs.

Your heartbeat is endless and haunting.
Delusions will never grip your mind.
No tombstone will be engraved for you,
Nor bones below will they find.

A hurricane could not move you.
No billow or gust could you, deter.
An earthquake could not push you.
No shifting could make you stir.

The sun will not come out of hiding,
Until you let the clouds part away.
No one will see the sunlight,
Until you say it is time for the day.

Now walk into that darkness,
And do not fear the Devil's hand.
The moons and stars are yours.
You sold your soul to own this land.
