My Dear Son

My Dear Son

A Poem by CrimsonHints

Power is in your truth;
Fast-tongued, and bright-eyed.
Your might is in your youth;
A young man's pride.

Hope beats in your heart.
You're unashamed of it's rhythm.
A candle in the dark;
Light from a prism.

Your white won't ever stain.
Your judgment could never be wrong.
You never dampen when it rains,
And you move the world in song.

My dear son,
Show me what it is to be good.
