Imprisoned King

Imprisoned King

A Poem by CrimsonHints

From afar, I took a glance,
Blue eyes behind smooth glass.
A little further, I took a chance,
Blue eyes behind a mask.

His eyes rested upon mine,
But I was never there.
Just another in his time,
Never enough to care.

Yet again, I crept to peer,
Damn it all! To be unseen,
I touch the glass; cold, unclear,
Unable to free my imprisoned king.
