Let Me Ask You a Question

Let Me Ask You a Question

A Poem by CrimsonHints
"

Older. It is going to take forever to post my newer stuff.

"
Let me ask you a question,
But would you like the answer?
Have you ever been in real pain,
Pain that spreads like cancer?

Do you have the right to judge,
When you sit upon a faulty throne?
How do you know the ripple,
When you throw the stone?

How loud do you scream,
When you're being beaten?
How brave are you,
When their anger goes unsweetened?

And what do you do,
When your lungs fill with smoke?
As you fall to your knees,
And your eyes burn as you choke...

Maybe it's time to change.
Maybe it's time to try.
Maybe it's time to break from the cocoon,
And change into a butterfly.

If you really listened to me,
You'd realize I have good advice.
All my words are free,
They don't come with a price.

I'm not insane,
I've just been through hell.
I've been beaten and broken,
And I can't seem to yell.

Excuse my crazy behavior,
I don't much care.
I've been to the worst places,
And fell in love with despair.

So I'm used to being torn,
And without a stitch to my name.
I put myself back together,
Creating this makeshift frame.
