Eyes of an Angel

Eyes of an Angel

A Poem by CrimsonHints

I've looked into the eyes of an angel,
Luminescent lime running through emerald pools.
The pitch irises themselves seem to shine,
Stern set, not too soft, never cruel.

I've glanced a glimpse of heaven,
In the crimson splashes of shade on her lips.
A shimmering enticement colored in red,
Grabs hold of my heart in a vice grip.

I've witnessed God,
In the raw power of her spoken words.
A simple sentence in every note risen,
Creating the most beautiful symphony ever heard.

I've looked into the eyes of an angel;
Was lost in her lips and melting song.
So if you're taking me to heaven,
Please don't take too long.
