Planes and Bravery

Planes and Bravery

A Poem by CrimsonHints
"

Thoughts about planes and the bravery it takes to fly them.

"
They ask me how I do it,
How I perfect bravery to an art.
I tell them; when you hear the roar of the engines,
You can't hear the plummet of your heart.

As you ascend your altitude to heaven,
Your heart will pace every step of time.
And when you let go; free-falling,
Your heart will drop a flat-line.

When you're in the thick of it,
There's no time to be scared.
When you stop to think about death,
You'll find you're already there.
