Swept Out to SeaA Poem by CrimsonHintsAn older poem of mine.
I was taken,
Swept out to sea, With the hope, Of meant-to-be's. Every wave, Pushing me down, All is silent, I wear a fool's crown. My lungs are full, Ready to burst, But still I'm parched, Still I thirst. For a moment, I was spared from going under. But the waves crashed upon me, Highlighted by lightning & thunder. Here I am again, In the dark, in the deep. Maybe I could let my struggle go, And fall into a shadowed sleep. My arms are numb, My legs do nothing. I can't bring myself to do anything, Something. My thoughts fade away, I am here to lie dormant. Someone save me from these waves, My self-taught torment. © 2016 CrimsonHints |
