My song.

My song.

A Poem by =
"

Another of my recent spoken word pieces. I'd like to pay my thanks to fellow user H.L. Cerveise for editing this piece.

"
And so I put it to you, a final time,
How can you sit so callously?
I ask for your words, the ones you usually scream.
I wait, for the moment; your voice comes to break.

And I request that you tell me, softly love,
If you even know why you're shouting.
Have you forgotten your due diligence?
Or is it just routine?

And you ask me to speak, easing silence,
About the acts I've done,
Then you list off the things,
That I didn't.

You plead with me, for a final fight,
to battle out the night's sky.
And I sit and ponder, once more,
on your words,
that await my song.

Powerful and strong emotions shared.
"You plead with me, for a final fight,
to battle out the night's sky.
And I sit and ponder, once more,
on your words,
that await my song."
Final fight or maybe to find equal place again. The above lines I understood. Thank you Roy for sharing the excellent poetry.

You are welcome Roy.
You describe very distinctly the dance of an argument. Nicely done.

"Dance of an argument" you always make me smile with your wording of things, Nessly!

Awe, you're welcome! :)
I like this poem. It shows how hard sometimes it is to salvage a broken relationship. I also like the word "callously" so much since it means so many levels of indifference. One minor change I think you could move the last line to the stanza above it. I really liked the feelings this poem showed from both sides.

Well done
