My Coworker Won’t Shut Up While I’m BusyA Poem by CriatorFrom the collection of “Bodily Observations”Rubbing scabs with cotton balls Will cause chafing.
You’re on my shoulder, Correcting minute mistakes, While I tap a screen.
Too many helpful words Created a rash where you stood, Then a scab, But still I keep it sealed.
But, oh! Your contorted face Followed by my hysterical howls
When the crust splits, bursts open, And a bead of pus-infused blood Kisses the corner of your lip,
My patience, you’ve tested And dissected.
Now you've seen something You regret prodding at. © 2022 Criator |
