Collage of My Greyhound, PhoenixA Poem by CriatorFrom the collection of "Bodily Observations"I douse her nose with the sea of smoke, Stippling her cheeks with soot With ashen shadows casted in her wake. Sharp shoulders jutting up, A proud mountain range, As her jawline is clad With jagged coals.
The sun once shone And she, the challenge, met. She lapped up that radiant star Placing it in the web of her iris Blotting it out eternally, Silver cinders plunging into her pupils Withdrawn into her obsidian nucleus.
My greyscale kaleidoscope, Still and fractured reproduction, A monument to her cosmic visage.
A blazing wave of embers swells behind her To lick the untarnished whites of her silhouette That it might claim what remains of her Negative space.
