You Lied

You Lied

A Poem by Cree Nations
"

Written on my 6th anniversary. If only I'd walked away then...

"

Despair breed lonelines

dread is born and fills my mind.

I dare not yet open up my heart,

for anger is strong and is not blind.

I look for answers.

Too quickly they come and they pass me by.

To refuse to hear...

No never not I.

You promised you would love me.

Yet in your love I feel such pain.

And away from you is sought in vain.
