In The Stillness of My Night

In The Stillness of My Night

A Poem by Cree Nations
"

...are my prayers heard?

"

In the stillness of my night

I told the Lord of my plight.

I’d lost myself along the way

And wasn’t sure just what to say.

Strange it was, me! At a loss for words.

How then will my prayer be heard?

In the darkness I did wait

Emptiness is a lonely place.

Strange to know and say that our Lord felt and experienced such universal word in our human pilgrim - loneliness . Its comforting to fathom or perhaps even just grasp that the Author of Life felt such word. Hence He could relate and identify with us in our most despairing moment and place,,,
