An Old Memory

An Old Memory

A Poem by Cree Nations
"

written on a 6th anniversary when I was married

"

Despair breeds loneliness

Dread is born and fills my mind

I dare not yet open up my heart

For anger is strong and is not blind.

I look for answers

Too quick they come, they pass me by.

Too refuse to hear

No never not I.

You promised you would love me.

Yet in your love I feel such pain.

And away from you is sought in vain.

It is hard to love once burned Or so it feels like here. Perhaps it is the way Ying and yang so to speak for as much as love gives it takes in the end
