It's Been a Year Now

It's Been a Year Now

A Poem by Cree Nations
"

Carson Hope Reilly...a living presence

"

There is no rhyme or reason

of why you had to go away

I know I've heard it said

"He" only takes the best.

So I guess it is quite obvious...

We haven't passed that test.

And He's left us here

to struggle with this mess.

Our life is just not the same

without you here among us.

It's been a year now

And those of us of  whom you touched

are still dealing with our grief.

I know just what you'd say

if you were here with me today.

You'd tell me it's okay and to smile

and to dry up all my tears

and let God erase my fears.

But sweetheart I just can't help myself...

I sure wish that you were here.

It is extremely hard to find rhyme or reason as to why our loved ones are taken from us, and there is truly no easy answer to that wrenching question.

There's never a good answer--not one that makes sense or erases the pain, at least. My only hope is that somwhere, someday, all will be made right.
