I HAVE A MOTHER. By Sangeetha
I have a Mother The most loving Mother there could ever be She gave her breath, her milk and her body to me You have a Mother The most caring Mother there could ever be She gave her crop, her vines, and even her trees. You'd play under her eyes above And hide in her fields below Remember how she rocked you to sleep Under her shade though? We have a Mother The most hardworking Mother there could ever be But she's been suffering silently, we can see. Mother has children who betrayed her so They hurt her Everyday from head to toe They stole from her stomach, her gold. They built structures where her flesh folds. They stuck pipes where her veins should go And poisoned what's left of her blood that flows. Mother still cares for them with all her heart though But her screams can be heard all the way home. We want to help her, we really do But there's nothing much for us to prove. Theres nothing we can do alone But together we are stronger than stone. Our mothers name is earth and she's in danger. Can you please help us save her? © 2016 SangeethaAuthor's Note
