Chapter 10A Chapter by Kyline FreedAndrew leads Kalek and I back to the sunroom where the two guys still are, standing in the same exact position they were standing in when me and Kalek left nearly fifteen minutes ago, only now a guy wearing a white shirt and black pants is with them, he turns when he hears us close the door. The guy has bright blue eyes, that’s the first thing I notice and the fact that he has blonde hair makes his eyes seem even brighter. “Hi,” he says acknowledging me before he even notices Kalek and Andrew. “I assume you’re Krista?” “Yes,” I keep it short and simple, not knowing what else to say to his question. “I’m Eli, the current Minor God of the sun, and from what I hear you’re the Minor Goddess,” he says. He looks at Kalek,”you’re the one with the abnormal powers?” “Yes, my fires are completely blue,” he replies with a questioning look on his face. Eli smirks, “what if I told you your powers weren’t unknown of just rare. You have the powers of a guide, only stronger. Normally their fires are all orange or red but yellow and blue fires are rarer, blue being the rarest.” “So you’re basically saying I’m a trainer?” he asks Eli, an excited look passing over his face. He ignores Kalek’s question and turns towards me, “You ready?” “I’m going with you,” Kalek says stepping forwards next to me. “Are you sure?” Eli asks him, tilting his head to the side smirking his little smirk while doing so. “It’s a very hard journey, for the portal doesn’t bring us near the kingdom.” “Why is that?” Andrew steps forward in front of me and Kalek blocking our view of Eli. “It could be very dangerous to go along with this trip. There are many creatures on the sun that the people of Earth have yet to experience and most of these creatures are deadly to whoever they come in contact with. “Most people don’t understand this and try to come near the animals, some of the animals have characteristics that draw other people or animals near them. Some of the scientists that have done studies on these animals have found that their bodies radiate something that basically drug the humans to them.” “Wha- what if we come across one of them?” I ask, stuttering a little. “We’d have to figure that out at the moment it happens because there are so many of these creatures with different abilities that we haven’t even been able to study all of them yet.” He turns to Andrew. “Do you mind if Kalek joins us? He would be very much welcomed on the Sun and he’ll get his proper training there.” “He’s seventeen and technically not my son so he can do as he pleases, as for her, she is my responsibility.” Kalek’s face drops at that but mine must have too because all of a sudden I hear Andrew saying I can go but If something happens Kalek and Eli are dead. How is he already so protective if I literally just met him and Eve yesterday? I wonder to myself. © 2015 Kyline Freed |
