Perfect

I wrote this a couple years ago but was never sure if it was good enough to put online.

I’m only a person.
What do you expect me to do?
Sit there and beg?
Roll on the floor like a dog?
Be perfect?

No one is perfect,
If you are your just a lie.
Lies get you no where,
So why don’t you realize,
I’m only a person.

Why have doubts? the meaning is priceless, and true, and it will always be true, no one is perfect. Yet some people do expect the impossible from you, and that's when you gotta remind them about being a human, and not the almighty god. Nice write up, i like it.

I liked the idea of this one a lot. I thought the use of "I'm only a person" twice, was a little repetitive in a short poem, but no biggie. Good job!
