Why Would You Walk AwayA Poem by Kyline FreedYou walk away, Leaving me crying in pain. My blood glistens on your hand, To match the blood on my face. It looks as though it were painted. My eye I know is swollen, The blood and the bruise, Mixing to a nasty shade of grey. I can tell by looking in the mirror, That you had been blocking only moments ago, That my nose is broke, For it’s all bent out of shape. Your car starts up, Pulling out of the driveway, Leaving me to bask in my own blood, From the cuts that you left All over my body. © 2015 Kyline FreedReviews
