I Promise You: Chapter 4

      The strange boy dissappeared with a blink of an eye. I groaned and layed back down, screaming into my pillow. I got up and stumbled over to the black and purple mirror. I stared at myself, horrified. I had a black and blue eye and a cut lip. Also I had red marks all over my neck. B*tch, I thought. Brooklyn, the school "bully" had beat me up on the first day of school.I threw my long red hair into 2 pig-tails and I went to my closet, took out a grey turtle-neck, and some skinnies. Then i went over to my makeup table, ignoring my cuts and bruised eye and put on some Pretty In Pink earings. I then slipped into my black flats, andthrew myself on the bed, once again screaming into my pillow.

     "Aunt Jay!" I shouted through my pillow. She didnt hear me so i took the fluffy white pillow off my face and screamed again. "Aunt Jay!!" I heard footsteps franticly running up the stairs. "Yes Avery?" she said sweetly, although her face read "Leave me alone! I was watching American Idle!" "Whats wrong me? I mean my life?" I asked. "What? Nothing is wrong!" she replied, "why would you ask something like that?" "Nothing... um... who was that boy in my room?" I asked curiously. "What boy?" she replied. "That boy, with the short brown hair and he carried me up here" I said, hoping not to sound crazy. "Honey, Avery, no one brought you up here" She replied,"you were aperrently bullied by a crazy girl named Brooklyn, and I received a call from the nurse, so I came to pick you up...Avery is ther something-" "NO!" I replied angrily. She thought I had a boyfriend... even though he was kind of cute.. "I just wanted to know" I mumbled quietly. "Okay..." with that, she left my room to continue watching American Idle. I moaned and quietly drifted off to sleep.
