"What the f**k, Kendall?" Jesse angrily asked.
It was late after school, and I had just gotten out of detention for back talking to a teacher.
I frowned, fauxing innocence. "What, Jesse?"
Jesse's fists clenched tightly, as I smirked with amusement.
"Why were you so close to Cole during lunch today?" Jesse asked.
I rolled my eyes, and began walking down the hallway, towards the exit.
"Because Cole and I are friends." I simply shrugged.
I heard Jesse grunting behind me, as he swiftly pressed my agaisnt the wall.
He leaned towards me, as there was only an inch of space between us.
"Get out of my face." I gritted through my teeth.
"Not until you promise not to be with Cole alone anymore." Jesse spat.
"You can't tell me what to do. That wasn't part of the deal." I glared.
"I don't give a sh*t about the deal! I don't want you seeing Cole anymore!" Jesse shouted.
I jumped back further to the wall, surprised by his loud tone.
He was lucky it was after school, and the school corridors were empty.
"Why not?" I asked.
Jesse remained silent, avoiding the harsh glare in my eye.
"No response, huh? Well, I don't get why you are allowed to makeout with other girls, but I can't even hang out with Cole." I said.
I pushed Jesse by the shoulder roughly, as he tumbled back a few steps.
"You just don't get it, do you?" Jesse asked.
I chuckled lightly, and turned back at him with a gleem in my eye.
"No, because you aren't telling me." I grinned.

"He's pathetic and such a hypocrite!" I angrily snapped, as I sat behind the counter later that night, working my late night shifts at Debbie's Diner.
I still hadn't quit, yet. I was waiting until the end of the week, so I could at least get my paycheck.
"He has the balls to tell you what to do after he makes out with Trisha? Jesse's so low." Scarlett rolled her eyes, tapping her perfectly manicured nails along the counter.
I sighed, waiting for a customer to come in already.
"I know. I'm still going to talk to Cole." I said, blushing slightly at the fact that we almost kissed.
Scarlett raised an eyebrow, and broke out in a sly grin.
"Why are you turning so red when you said Cole's name?" she gushed.
"No reason." I lied.
"Bullsh*t! Spill." she demanded.
I bit my lip.
Should I kiss and tell?
Well, Cole and I didn't indirectly kiss... we would've, if it weren't for that b*****d, Jesse.
"So, Cole might've, almost kissed me." I nervously said, feeling my cheeks get warm.
Scarlett's eyes grew wide, as she clamped a hand over her mouth.
"Oh, gosh! I knew it! That's why Jesse was so jealous!"
I rolled my eyes. "Jealous? Yeah, okay." I sarcastically commented.
Scarlett reached over to my hand, as her mouth dropped.
"That's why he was so pissed! Because he wants you for himself!" Scarlett beamed.
I chuckled at her excited mood for nothing.
"Funny, Scar." I said.
"I'm serious! It all adds up! I even read an article about it in the latest issue of Seventeen Magazine!" Scarlett smiled.
I frowned. "A magazine giving love advice? Cute."
"It's all true, though! Jesse is so-" Scarlett paused and looked out the window. "Hey, isn't that Cole?" she asked.
