"Hey, Kendall!" Cole called out, as I made my way to the lunch room that Monday afternoon.
"Hey, Cole." I smiled.
He grinned. "I just wanted to apologize."
I raised an eyebrow and frowned. "For what?"
"You know, for acting up on the night of the party. I remember asking you a weird question." Cole shyly smiled, rubbing the back of his head.
I smiled, remembering when he asked if I liked guys with blonde hair or black.
"It wasn't a big deal." I assured. "I'm use to seeing Scarlett getting tipsy every now and then."
Cole chuckled. "So, where are you heading to?"
"Lunch."
Cole grinned. "Do you want to have lunch out on the bleachers?"
I smiled, but frowned. "Outside? It's literally snowing outside."
Cole shrugged. "So? Doesn't that make things better?"
I chuckled, and nodded in agreement.
Cole lead me to the back entrance, where it led to the football field outside.
We walked along the white, snow covered grass, as we sat down on a cold, metal bleacher.
I got a turkey sandwich out of my bag, as I started unwrapping it.
Cole smiled as he watched me eat.
I narrowed my eyes at him. "Want some?" I offered.
Cole grinned, and shook his head. "No, thanks."
I flustered, thinking there was something on my face. "Then why are you staring?"
"There's a crumb on your face." Cole explained.
I frowned deeply, rubbing my temples.
Cole smirked, and shook his head.
He reached his thumb out, as he swiped it across my lips.
He extrended his finger out, showing me the bread crumbs, as I blushed.
"See?" he softly said.
I gulped, and avoided eye contact with him, as I kept eating.
"So, Kendall, I've been meaning to ask you." Cole paused.
I tilted my head up, staring at him.
"Why are you with Jesse? You don't seem interested in him, at all." Cole finished.
I sighed, thinking about Jesse, and how he bonded with my mother yesterday.
As pissed as I was with Jesse, I couldn't break our deal, right?
I needed the cash, desperately.
"I am interested in him." I lied, forcing a small smile.
Cole extended his hand out, lifting my chin slightly up, as a gasp escaped my lips.
"Your lips say so, but your eyes say otherwise." Cole gently soothed.
My eyes widened, as I noticed how his hand never left my chin.
"I do like Jesse, a lot." I lied, yet again.
Cole's lips parted, as he leaned in slowly.
His forehead was an inch away for mine, before he said, "Do you, really?"
I gulped, as I nodded, not pulling away from our close distance.
"How come I don't believe you?" Cole asked, as his eyes shifted towards my lips.
I bit my lips, feeling insecure.
"You don't have to." I whispered, sounding weak.
Cole lightly chuckled. "Then I guess I won't."
He leaned in closer, as just as our lips were about to connect, a voice inturrupted us.
"Kendall? Cole?" a confused Jesse asked.
