The next Saturday, the doorbell rang at my front door.
I groaned, realizing that it was only eight in the morning, and I was trying to peacefully enjoy my hot chocolate and watch reruns of Spongebob.
"No one's home!" I called out.
The ringing of the door bell stopped, but shortly after, there was banging on the door.
"Let me in!" a deep voice called out.
I rolled my eyes, setting my cup of hot deliciousness down.
I shuffled my way over to the front door in my fluffy, old bunny slippers.
I opened the door, and raised my eyebrow to see Jesse.
He still has the balls to come show his face after yesterday?
B*****d.
"Why the f**k did you leave last night without telling me?" Jesse demanded.
He pushed me away slightly, stepping inside my house.
"Because you were busy." I snapped.
"With what?! You know Cole made fun of me the whole night because you ditched me!"
I shook my head, glaring at Jesse.
There was no way in hell he was putting the blame on me!
"It's not my f**king fault! You were too busy sucking face with some w***e!" I shouted.
Jesse's jaw clenched. "You know, I was going to pay you five thousand this week just for coming to the party with me, but you can kiss that goodbye."
I raised my eyebrows at him, threatening to slap him on the spot.
"W-what?! You're treating me like some prostitute!" I spat.
Jesse's cold glare kept focuse on me. "You are, Kendall. You're a horrible prostitute, in fact. You can't deliver what a man wants!"
My jaw dropped, as I raised my right hand, and punched him.
Before my fist made contact with his pretty face, he caught my wrist.
I squirmed, trying to get out of his grip.
"Let go!" I commanded.
"Why? So you can try to punch me again?" Jesse asked.
"Yes! You-"
The sound of a door opening suddenly made Jesse and I froze.
My head snapped to the side, staring at my mother's hungover expression.
"Kendall? What the hell is going on here?" my mother asked, staring between Jesse and I.
I jumped back, noticing that our bodies were pressed up agaisnt each other.
"N-nothing mom." I flustered.
"Doesn't sound like nothing. You two woke me up." my mother raised her eyebrows.
"I'm sorry, ma'am. Kendall here was just mad at me, so I tried to make it up to her." Jesse explained.
My mother squinted, studying the both of us.
"And who are you?" my mother asked.
Jesse grinned. "I'm Jesse, I'm Kendall's boyfriend."
My eyes widened, as my mother's face lit up.
"Boyfriend, huh? Kendall, you never told me you were in a relationship with such a nice man!" my mother smiled.
My eyes grew even wider, just when I thought it wasn't possible.
My mother hadn't smiled in months!
And out of everyone, or everything, it was Jesse who made her smile.
"Jesse, sit down." my mother instructed. "Kendall, go make your boyfriend a nice cup of hot chocolate. Or would you prefer coffee?"
Jesse smirked at me. "Hot chocolate, please. And use extra marshmellows."
