Three Strikes: Chapter 6A Chapter by osnapitzlainee"7 minutes is up!" Brandon called from outside of the closet. Cole took his fingers, and ran it through my hair one more time, making it look like we had an intense make out session, when we really just chatted. Cole opened the closet door, as the light blinded my eyes. Everyone gasped when they saw the apperence of Cole and I. Cole's t-shirt was slightly wrinkled, and his hair was messy, as if he had just came out of bed. I sweater was a bit scrunched up, and slightly tucked in my jeans, as my hair was a bit out of place. "Did you guys have fun?" Brandon asked, wiggling his eyebrows. Cole winked at me flirtatiously, as we both sat back down in the circle. I saw Jesse glancing at me once every now and then, looking skeptical. Everyone stopped the game after another fifteen minutes. The small crowd all gathered outside of Cole's balcony, as the boys started a barbeque on his grill. I didn't follow outside, though. Instead, I sat inside, back on the beige, leather couch. I took small sips of beer, gagging every now and then of the horrible taste. I felt weight pushing down on the couch, indicating that someone was beside me. I didn't bother to look up, though. "You and Cole didn't hook up, did you?" Jesse asked. I narrowed my eyes towards him. How the hell did he know? We made it pretty obvious that we did. I remained silent, taking larger gulps of beer. "And, you think that beer is flat and gross, don't you?" Jesse asked. I clenched my fists on the red, empty cup, chucking it on the floor. Was he reading my mind, or something? It was getting annoying. "And I'm irritating you by asking you all of these questions, aren't I?" I rolled my eyes, and sighed heavily, finally looking in his blue eyes. "What do you want, Jesse?" I snapped. "I want you to answer all of my questions." he smirked. "I hooked up with Cole, I liked that beer, and I think you're annoying." I lied. Well, I didn't lie about the last part. "No, you did not hook up with Cole, because your lips aren't flushed red. No, you don't like that beer, because you made a face when you drank it." Jesse corrected. "And yeah, you pretty much think I'm annoying." he finished. "I'm glad you know the truth." I muttered under my breath. Jesse smirked, and lifted my chin up with his warm fingers. "I do want to know why you made it look like you guys made out, though. Everyone might've believed you, but not me." Jesse said, dangerously low. I swallowed the lump in my throat, as he leaned in, tucking a piece of my brown hair behind my ears. "Remember, Kendall. You're mine." he finally said. Without another word, he got up. He went outside, and joined everyone else at the balcony. I bit my lip in frustration. I was beginning to regret this deal. I whipped out my old, out of style phone, and dialed Scarlett to come pick me up. Scarlett pulled up outside of Cole's house momentarily, with her hair in all different directions. "Do you need to go home, yet?" she asked, as she started driving. "No." I muttered. "Do you want to go to the hospital with me? Aunt Riley would love to see you." Scarlett smiled. I gulped. I hated hospitals. They reminded me of when my father died. "I'll go." I sighed. © 2011 osnapitzlainee |
