I miss youA Poem by Créatif WordI gently touched the lining of her frame And like brittle oak leaves under a hot summer sun, She crumbled to the ground. She faded from my mind like A simmering mirage in a Sahara desert. If only I had one last minute to hold her in my eager arms, So now I tread carefully; I dare not trample On the broken dreams that we tried to build. Your image is in every tear, Your image is in every thought, Your image is soldered to my heart. Oh no, you’re my heart, I am you. I have crafted so many images of you, That my mind has forgotten what you look like. But my heart and soul have made you part of me. And now you are gone, I’m ripped apart, Like an unborn baby from its mother’s womb. Depression, subjected to the wailing of the world, Has made me mad as a hatter. I sink like the Titanic in cold frosty water, Losing every bit of soul, my precious cargo, The weight that makes me whole. I cannot exist with dead weight, lounging, Taking the space that you crafted, That you, that we forged in an eternal flume of love Your presence is not the necessity of your love We love each other through our souls Through the earth and the cosmos, stretching out along the Milky Way. In my love for you I will die a thousand deaths As the lord forgives us a thousand fold, I will continue to love you And live in every moment that proclaimed our love. © 2013 Créatif WordReviews
