Tell Me AmericaA Poem by A.GThis poem was written after coming back from a an appreciation gathering in downtown. There was alot more hate from the opposing side for an event that was supposed to be fun cheerful.Tell me America, How do you
justify the tears of the little girl who watches her father die? How do you
justify the bombing of homes that innocent people once called their own? How do you
justify taking the life of every man, woman and child who gets in your way, Each knowing, that because of
you, they will never again see the light of day. Tell me
America, How do your
judges justify the justice that isn’t being served? How is your
court room safe of the false accusations and the voices unheard? How is that
young boy being sentences to death to blame, for the actions committed by a
man who is already dead in a crashed plane? How do you
know the silent school girl wearing a hijab is hold in an endless amount of
pain. Tell me
America, Do you know
what it feels like to be stripped of your land? To have your
50 stars replaced with one that does not represent you, To have your
soil dampened with the loss of human blood, To never get
the chance to bury your loved ones, To not find
a helping hand, or just someone who understood? Tell me
America, Do you know
peace? Do you know
love? Do you know
that there is someone watching you from above? Do you know
that every action you take, every move you make is being written down on an
inerasable slate? And when the
day comes where you will stand in front of your superior, You will
know the pain of all the lives you waste. Let me tell
you America, You may be
the Unites States, but Allah
alone is the Mighty, the Great © 2011 A.GAuthor's Note
