The Chosen One

The Chosen One

A Poem by Praveeta

The Chosen One

Splurging emotions surround him
Enough to last a lifetime
Yet his eyes wander
With a glimpse of her

Fiery eyes set on her
Angered by his diversion
His fixation on her to them unexplainable
The innocent suffers in silence

Oh SUCH a beautiful piece! It was, I admit, quite difficult to comprehend the first time I read it, but when I read it again... I love what the poem is trying to say. Truly amazing poetry. Cheers x

How sadly true... that the innocence so often afraid of retaliation, suffer in silence.

Emotive piece.

Thanks for your lovely feedback.
I love that he is the "chosen one" and not supposed to let anything distract him, but this one girl is someone he can't get out of his mind. I loved the topic of this poem and the way it was written.

Thank you so much for your inspiring review. Have a great day!
this writing is similar as looking with side ways, sure it's with the intense feeling towards the partner, it's pity to chase the new by a one who has already engaged, in my poem, 'what's love ?'', I have stated it,

You are welcome:)
The verse seems to be incomplete in a way...may be your attempt at thew reader to figure out the rest for themselves in the write...I'd clarify the second stanza a bit to give more balance:

Fiery eyes set on her
Angered by his diversion
His fixation on her to them unexplainable
The innocent suffers in silence
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Fiery eyes set on her
Angered by diversion
Fixation on her unexplainable
Innocent suffers in silence

IMPO of course...this is your work...
