Roller Coaster Ride

As I lay and reminisce 

on all of the promises you

made I begin to think of

the times we would just sit

up and talk all day

I feel loved one minute 

and the next I don't

I used to feel loved

all of the time but

Now I'm left wondering

where did all of the love go?

My heart is heavy because It

Doesn't understand how one 

minute you can be so loving

and then just transform into

a brand new man

I watched the change happen right

before my eyes

I pleaded with you but you 

never heard my cries

The pain I feel keeps me up at

night my mind races

struggling to remember

what true happiness feels

like

Deep down I want to believe you

love me but how can I when

your actions and words don't match

Now I'm wishing I could erase

those same feelings I tried so hard not 

to catch

The pain grows more and more 

everyday

you ask what's wrong but I

can never think of the right words

to say

Day by day I watch us grow 

more distant

I want to bring it up but I really 

don't think you'll listen

I love you 

so that's why 

I've been holding on

and I'll continue to ride this

roller coaster 

just as long as I know 

you're down to ride along

I'm nobody's fool so if you're not 

please let me know

And if that's the case 

then I have no choice 

but to let you go
